The Public Service Leadership Institute® develops, advises and connects public service leaders across government, equipping them with the capabilities, insights and communities they need to achieve results today and drive transformative change for the future.

For more than two decades, the Institute has brought together the Partnership’s efforts to strengthen public service leadership, drawing on deep experience supporting public servants committed to building a better government and a stronger democracy.

We believe effective leadership at every level is essential to public sector success. Strong leaders drive innovation and impact, steward public resources with integrity, effectively engage employees, invest in developing talent and advance their agencies’ missions in service to the public.

Grounded in our Public Service Leadership Model, we translate insights from our programs and communities into actionable tools and frameworks that help leaders meet today’s challenges, responsibly harness AI and data, and strengthen government for the future.

Develop highly capable public service leaders

We develop effective public service leaders at every level, from emerging supervisors to senior executives and political appointees. Through premier programs and offerings, we prepare leaders and organizations to drive change, strengthen government, and harness AI and data in service to the public.

Convene and connect leaders across government

We convene vibrant communities of current and former public service leaders to share insights, surface shared challenges and enable collaborative problem‑solving to advance the public good.
